The Refuge is all about God and connecting Him with people. It begins with a vision and a passion to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered, and serving. All that we do revolves around these 7 things. It all starts with our weekend service. Church is so much more than just a Sunday service. It’s about connecting people through worship and the Word, helping people grow in their faith in Jesus Christ, and building a strong foundation in their families. This connection on Sunday carries throughout the week in small groups and outreach.

Our hope and prayer is you would find Real Refuge from the storms of life and that you would grow closer in your relationship with Jesus.

If you should have any needs or questions we are here to help in anyway we can. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.

In Christ’s Grip,

Pastor D

About The Refuge

Our Mission

To reach and influence the world by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, building a strong Biblical foundation that enables us to connect people to God, connect people to people, and connecting people to outreach.

Our Vision

  • To proclaim the good news of salvation by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:16)
  • A Church whose altars are constantly filled with repentant sinners responding to Christ’s call to salvation. (Romans 3:23)
  • To worship God our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit (John 4:24)
  • A Church so large and moving under the power of the Holy Spirit that it is being added to daily. ( Acts 2:47)
  • A Church whose heartfelt praise and worship touches Heaven and changes earth; exalting Christ with powerful songs of faith and hope. (John 4:24)
  • A Church so compassionate with the love of Jesus, that people are drawn from impossible situations into a loving and friendly circle of hope, where answers are found in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 5:22-24)
  • To be ambassadors of Christ in our community (2 Corinthians 5:20-21)
  • To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our community and throughout the world (Matthew 28:19-20)
  • To ordain Pastors for the work of the ministry and have multiple locations to better serve the people of God and send out foreign missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission. (Ephesians 4:11-12) (Acts 1:8)

Statement of Faith

In order to identify the church as conservative in theology and evangelical in spirit, we set forth this general statement of fundamental beliefs:

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His future personal return in power and glory at the end of the age.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, Who came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry, service, and witness all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ, and that He is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit as recorded throughout the New Testament, which ministry includes the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit in the church.

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit and forgives those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and that by the indwelling Holy Spirit, God enables said believers to live a godly life.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ–called the Body of Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: (1) baptism; (2) the Lord’s Supper. We believe that water baptism and communion are open only to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. These ordinances are observed to our Lord Jesus Christ as acts of love and devotion and are not considered to be necessary for our salvation.
